The staff at SFN prefers to moderate in moderation, and if someone finds a potentially offensive post they can always report the post to the appropriate moderator through PM. Such PMs are always treated with disgression.
You have a point though. Reporting an abusive post should be an easy task. Currently I don't think the Snitz-forum has such functionality implemented, which means that our web-master, @tomic will have to customize the forum generation engine. I haven't seen it in any other Snitz forums I've been to.
Other forum softwares have icons that one can click in order to single out specific posts.
For the moment, you will have to go the extra mile if you think a post is worth reporting.

How to adress a specific post in a thread:
1) get the URL to the page in which the post is, and copy it. In this case, page 3:
http://www.skepticfriends.org/forum/topic.asp?TOPIC_ID=3650&whichpage=3
2) Find the post of your choice, and click the reply-with-quote button.
3) Once the reply-page has opened, examine the URL:
http://www.skepticfriends.org/forum/post.asp?method=ReplyQuote&REPLY_ID=53757&TOPIC_ID=3650&FORUM_ID=18
The blue bolded number, 53757 is the id-number of the post.
4) add the bracket sign '#' and the number, to the URL you copied in the first stage:
http://www.skepticfriends.org/forum/topic.asp?TOPIC_ID=3650&whichpage=3#53757
5) Done! You may now hide the link in the URL-forum code:
[url="put your link here inside quotation marks"]Dr. Mabuse's post[/url]
Result: Dr. Mabuse's post

| If you want to address a specific post in a thread that is locked or archived where you can't find the reply-with-quote icon, then you'll need to examine the HTML source code of the page, and that my friends is not for the timid. Better ask a HTML-savvy forum member for help. |
