Image in posts should have their sizes restricted during page compilation.

Sometimes, pictures posted are way too large, and it messes up the formatting of text, and width of the page. I suggest that if a picture exceeds 800 (or 640) pixels in width, inline images are scaled down to 800 (or 640).
Not the source pic itself, but there are HTML codes that scales pics down in the browser. If someone want to view the pic in full resolution, one can still just drag-and-drop the pic to the desktop and open it from there without loosing information/quality.

The width is arbitrary, of course, but most people use resolution of their screens where 800 doesn't interfere with formatting.

Noted. A very fair, practical request.

Why continue? Because we must. Because we have the call. Because it is nobler to fight for rationality without winning than to give up in the face of continued defeats. Because whatever true progress humanity makes is through the rationality of the occasional individual and because any one individual we may win for the cause may do more for humanity than a hundred thousand who hug their superstitions to their breast.

It should not be hard to incorporate such functionality into the forum software. At least, I don't think so. I'm not a HTML guru, so I could be wrong, I've only had minor experience in making web-pages with Microsoft FrontPage.

If this functionality can indeed be added, then users won't have to worry about posting too large pictures.
