YO: Just THIS In...

http://www.nytimes.com/aponline/world/AP-Germany-Nazi-Children.html

OY Sez: Since Hurricane Katrina, whenever I think about the Nazi's social experiments before and during WWII, I can't help being reminded of what Barbara Bush said in the media about those poor souls taking refuge in the Superdome. The former First Lady remarked that the victims of the storm were lucky to have a place like the Superdome to go to. Mrs. Bush indicated it was probably better than what they had before the wind and rain came.

Being isolated in arrogance tends to nuture racism, I believe.

Thank you, Dave. I think that would be me and Filthy who won't register at the NYT.

Amazing, how the crimes of the Nazis echo down through the decades, isn't it? I doubt we'll ever see the end of the reverberations of their deeds. Thanks for bringing this to our attention, OY!

Count me in, too. Why register for AP stories which are available to read elsewhere without registration? Click the NYTimes link, copy-and-paste the first sentence into Google News, et voilá! a whole list of (mostly) no-registration-needed sources.

Thanks, Dave. I never thought of that tactic. I'll do that from here on.
