Trump as National Security Threat:
...Never before in my lifetime has either political party been led by a man with such an unusual combination of—from a national security perspective, anyway—terrifying liabilities. Individually, each would be grounds for concern. In combination with one another and as embodied in a single political figure of extreme charisma and proven attractiveness to a significant swath of the electorate, they are a toxic brew that I have no doubt makes this country less secure. They do this, I suspect, even if Trump is not ultimately elected President but merely becomes the Republican nominee.

I'm not so sure. "Concerned by" is about as small a step backwards as one can take.

Some people in the Ted Cruz camp have floated the idea that a President Ted Cruz would appoint Roy Moore.

That just underlines why he shouldn't be President. Not as much as il Douche', but right up there.

I doubt that he could get Roy Moore through, because Moore has already been on the losing side of constitutional issues that the supreme court has taken up. Moore is a nutball.

But yeah. Cruz. Yikes!

I honestly don't know who would be worse. Cruz promises to not negotiate, and that's what he has done as a senator. Plus he's a raging theorcate. Either one of them and we're fucked.
