Sorry to ask but I just want to get your opinion about same sex marriage. Agree or disagree?

Agree or disagree with what? That consenting adults should be able to marry? Agree.

I have yet to hear a reasonable argument against gay marriage. I know a Jewish couple who are against it because marriage is about raising a family....yet they have no children. Hypocrites.

Civil marriage is between two consenting adults and could be better termed a household merger because that is what it actually does.

That should not be barred from any configuration of consenting adults.

Religious marriage is up to the particular religion.

I will also note that groups that tend to object to same sex marriage are religious in nature. Claiming that it violates the sanctity of marriage. These folks also tend not to see the hypocracy in not objecting to hetrosexual marriages between atheists. I find that logically inconsistent with their argument.

It is also unConstitutional.

I have yet to hear a compelling argument against a personal household merger between adults.

I absolutely agree. If two people are in love they should be together.

To want to, is to be able to.

yeah maybe they should, but they shouldn't be able to adopt children at all. I know If they love each other they should get married, but I'm not sure about two guys

Shouldn't be able to adopt based on what concerns/studies?

American Psychologicial Association Study here

This study seems to go counter to your concerns as adopted children to same sex couples are just as likely to succeed as heterosexual couples who adopt.

Your last sentence is more than a little confusing. It seems to suggest same sex marriages between women would be OK for you, but not between men. Is that what you were trying to convey?

You do understand that even homosexual people can have biological children, don't you?

Imagine this: a man living a lie gets a woman pregnant, and she dies during childbirth. The experience moves him to come out, and while being a single dad to an infant, he finds true love with another guy and gets married. Are you saying that his new partner should be prohibited from adopting (for legal, guardianship reasons) his own biological child?

I know If they love each other they should get married, but I'm not sure about two guys
How icky something makes you feel should not be the basis for social policies.

So you admit it's icky? Good because I thought I was the only one.

He admitted no such thing.

He did (accurately) convey that you felt it was icky.

But rights are not defined by if it makes someone else feel icky.

A fact that many straight folks don't know: Many gays/bi are not into anal sex, and many straights are into anal sex.

As a flaming heterosexual with a high libido, the thought of having sex with another man does make me feel icky. But so what? It's supposed to make me feel icky, because I'm heterosexual. The thought of having sex with a member of the opposite sex would feel icky to a homosexual. I have a very simple way of getting around the icky feelings: I don't think about having sex with men.

If so, he's an amateur at both trolling and drunkenness. I'll beat him any day of the week and twice on Sundays. Especially on Sundays, being the heathen that I am.
