Haven't been here for a looooong time, figured that Newton's birthday would be a good time to return. So, anything interesting happen the past few years?

I've heard that America had some political fun.
But seriously, I wonder how the average sane person survived with their mental health intact. As a Canadian, we are pretty well in lockstep with whatever happens down there, whether we want to be or not. Fortunately we haven't gone as far right, but the sentiment is rising here, and we have to confront it.

Opinions differ over whether my family is sane, so I don't know that I can answer this.
Seriously, I've heard good arguments that 2022 will probably be seen by history as a turning point in favor of democracy over authoritarianism, world-wide. Obviously, we'll have to wait to find out, but I think things are looking up in general. |
