I've made quite a few posts recently but my post "counter" is still stuck at 47 (and has been for several days) and the posts are not being linked on the front page of the forum (e.g., when you are the last to post in a topic, your name shows up against that topic).
Have I been kicked off the board?

I see you with 48 now that you made this post. I haven't seen any other trouble similar to that but will investigate. I really have no idea how that could happen.

hey @tomic...
perhaps this is related to rubysue's problem with # of postings...her reply in "curriculum" (dated 07 June) has tripped my "active topic" list every night at this time.
It shows no signs of being revised and reposted...perhaps there's something goofy going on in the code.

Curiouser and curiouser...
Curriculum was involved with a poll and the poll is a modification I added. I do find it odd that rubysue is the only person affected by this. Could it be because she was the last to post there? And why doesn't this happen with the other polls....
Thanks for the tip. That helped a lot!

I was just checking out the polls, and each time somebody votes, the page indicates a new post for that topic, and credits it to whomever wrote the last real post.

Ok, to make a long story short this behavior is not an accident. It was intended by the writer of the poll. He says quote: whenever someone votes in a poll, it updates the last post date to the time the user voted. That way users can keep up-to-date with the current results of the poll, each time a user votes.
Perhaps I should lock polls and discussion could occur elsewhere or it could even be ignored. It is basically annoying but in a non-harmful way.
