From what I hear Stephen Jay Gould now knows the truth about evolution. God re-explained to him how He did it in six days. First hand.

Ah, here's some of the famous xtian compassion and modesty we see here. Nothing like gloating over a dead man, Kacey to show how "loving" you people are. News flash! You've just reinforced every stereotype that atheists have of christians. Nice way to spread the word of "peace, joy, and love"!
The (almost) COMPLETE lack of empathy you've shown is the left-over from the times when you superstitious fanatics would kill the scientists yourselves instead of waiting for them to die on their own before you people would spit on their graves. Suppose your parents died and, because I disagreed with them on something, had written an "obit" for them like you did for Dr. Gould? How would you feel? In case you're wondering why I asked, Dr. Gould has a kid of his own. Try to put yourself in his shoes and imagine how he'd feel upon reading the wonderful tribute you've shown him as an example of the "loving" xtian you are! That would put him off the philosophy that arrogant self-righteous people like you espouse. (people like you are what drove me out of that garbage in the first place)!
The truly amazing thing is that everywhere on TV or on the web, I hear xtians complain about how they're being treated! What a load! You people get treated a lot better than people like you seem to treat others.
I've read the bible too. Christ is WAY overdue to return, so his promise failed; therefore "your faith is in vain", and so you do NOT win! All those witches and Jews and heretics killed for nothing. See: Matthew 10:23. The "Jews for Judaism" site has a LOT of material to debunk your beliefs.

I was tempted just to call you a morally retarded little nematode (which you are), but decided instead to do something constructive in response to your post. Tomorrow, one of our local radio call-in shows is going to have a traveling creationist as a guest. I had just about decided to leave him alone, since I will be a guest on the show later this week (to talk about conspiracy theories) and it might be bad manners to call in during the same week. With Gould we have lost not only a premire scientist, but a superb translator as well. He could speak science with language that even I, a layman, could easily understand.

I've noticed most of the people here are pitchers and not catchers.

I can just imagine the surprised look on Goulds face, well the spirit part of Goulds face, when he realized Genesis was right.
Now the sad part, seeing how he decided to spend his time on earth seperated from Jesus....I suspect he'll also spend his time in eternity seperated from Jesus. After all it was his free choice.

This seems to be one of the fundies favorite activities, having wet dreams about how their favorite magical über pixie is punishing their opponents in hell.
These fantasies are usually harmless and might show people the moral bankruptcy of these pathetic individuals.

BEEP, BEEP, back the truck up. It appears it was Goulds choice not to follow Jesus. I find no joy in knowing that Gould has sent himself into eternal seperation from the King of kings and Lord of lords.

So Kacey did you really hear this or is this a falsehood? Why are fundamentalists some of the most un-compassionate people I know and also some of the biggest liars I know as well? Why does every moral fiber in my body become repulsed from the reek coming from your post?

I am very sad to hear about the death of Stephen Jay Gould. Sixty is still rather young. He could explain science so that anybody with even a passing interest could learn something new and wonderful. His book the Mismeasures of man is still one of the more memorible books I have read.
When posts such as Kacey's are made, I know people are justifiably angered at how heartless it is, but would it not be better to ignore the posting? Anyone reading them, anyone with any humanity in them at all will see them for what they are. Kacey will go away when no one responds.

No, and my reason for saying that is simply because like a cancer on society they wont go away. These low life scum attack human knowledge itself. These are the same vermin who destroyed all "western" science, murdered all the scholars and plunged Europe into the dark ages for a thousand years.
This miscreant who gloats at the untimely death of one of our greatest minds would have science banned from our schools and only primitive superstition taught to our children.
