Unfortunately, I let my mother raise my kid for the first few years of her life. (Catholic, yikes!) But I have grounded her by science. She does not believe all the silly garbage that some believe.

She believes in science and inquiry. I've been slowly guiding her to ask those questions of her religion. If she still believes there is a god, then her decision. But I have taught her that there is a firm line between god and science. She tells me, 'Don't worry mom, god's at one end of the universe, science at the other, with a huge wall between.'

The way it should be if you believe in god and want to study science.

He's YOUR god, they're YOUR rules, YOU burn in hell!

When Megan told her parents she was an agnostic, her stepmom said "Lisa, I'm a little out of my depth here. Can you offer guidance?" Since then, I've tried to steer her to science sites. Religeon is her decision, and that's something she'll have to work out for herself. I'd never want to be accused of turning someone against faith.
Hope there's nice weather on Friday, we have another star party to go to!

Neither would I. However, I don't want her to blindly follow...At this point I've only introduced to her the concepts of theists, atheists and agnostics. And asked that she read the bible at some point and intimated that she is allowed to question her faith. Afterall, Job did much the same thing by questioning god, for biblical precedence...

As I said, if she chooses religion, her choice.

They actualy have a version you can download into a palm pilot too! So you will always be able to demonstrate how god condemns us to eternal suffering out of love no matter where you are.

Great! That's good to know. Have to get a palm pilot and do the same so to check the bybull's appropiate times to bash a child against the rocks, to own slaves, cannibalism, rape, incest.
Course, all of this preapproved by gawd-doe-mite itself!

Exodus 21:17, Leviticus 20:9, Exodus 21:2-6, Judges 19:24-29, Genesis 19:30-38

Today's borrowed thought:
"And the sins of the fathers shall be visited upon the heads of the
children, even unto the third and fourth generation of them that
hate me." --Exodus 20:5
"Well, then, I hate Thee, unrighteous picture;/Wicked image, I hate
Thee;/So, strike with Thy vengeance/The heads of those little men/
Who come blindly./It will be a brave thing." --Stephen Crane

As of 8am today, the link is working. Let me know if you still get an error, and I'll try to download it and email it to you.
