(I had originally posted this before but I must of somehow screwed it up, so here's a second go...)

Just so I understand: you lament the fact that there aren't more "problem finders" here at Skeptic Friends?
Couldn't we all lament the fact that there aren't enough X (where X is whatever our pet thing is) here?
And I'm still not sure how too many teen-oriented TV shows has anything to do with this... |

I disagree with this statement. I think the best way to determine the target audience is by the comercials. Based on this you appear to be wrong.
Dave: Nice prediction. But lets be reasonable, your probability of success in that particular prediction was probably higher than the weather forecasters ability to predict tomorrows weather. I'm afraid you won't be collecting Randi's million on that. |

Furshur, it is as Ricky said. I did not make a prediction in the psychic mumbo-jumbo sense, but in the scientific sense. It was yet another test of the sociological hypothesis that coberst isn't actually interested in critical thinking or self-learning, but instead is solely focused on pontificating in favor of behaviours which he refuses to follow. |

Does that translate to, "Do as I say, not as I do"? This is renowned as a very poor teaching technique. |

This is made even more clear when one sees that coberst has been posting the exact same messages as dozens of different sites. Google "coberst" and you'll see among the 700 or so hits repeats of the same crap he's been posting here. Follow the links and notice how he engages very little with the participants-- sometimes posting obviously cut-and-pasted answers from other forums to another! |

You're right, Cuneiformist. I've made a "map" of coberstian writings. And the map tells me things are actually quite a bit worse than N C More thinks they are.
(I'm such a tease, I know.) |

Ooh, Ooh, a map! Can we see it! Can we see it!...Or is this one of those "mental maps" (I frequently make that type)? |
