I hope the rest of you have better luck than me watching shooting stars.

Where I live it was overcast in the evening, and didn't clear up until some odd hours after my work (night-shift) started. I went outside during my lunch-break, but couldn't see anything. Too many light-sources around.

And I forgot that the East Coast was going to be covered in storms tonight. Dang.

Yeh. As it comes to meteor watching, we're SOL.

Maybe next time.

On a happier note, I'm hearing lots of annual cicadas.

Around 03:00 CET thunder clouds moved in on my position. At four I went out for a look, but that rain was pouring down. Really cats and dogs. I'm so glad I decided to take the car tonight instead of bike. I would have been totally soaked...

Well we had great skies, for a city anyway. I saw a few meteors, loved being outside on a warm night, saw my first iridium flare, all and all it was good. I do have to say though, I have seen a lot more active Perseids than this year's.

For anyone not knowing...

Iridium Flare predictions can be found at:
www.heavens-above.com
They have an extensive database of geographical locations, since Iridium flares are very localized.
