This is from www.freethoughtradio.com:

10.) No one will kill you for not believing in beer
9.) Beer doen't tell you how to have sex
8.) Beer has never cause wars
7.) Beer does not force itself on minors who can not think for themselves.
6.) People selling beer don't go door to door.
5.) No ones been burned, tortured, or hanged over choosing a different brand of beer.
4.) You don't have to wait 2000 years for another beer.
3.) There are laws saying beer companies can't lie to you
2.) You can prove the existence of beer.
1.) If you have devoted your life to beer, there are groups who can help you stop.

Why continue? Because we must. Because we have the call. Because it is nobler to fight for rationality without winning than to give up in the face of continued defeats. Because whatever true progress humanity makes is through the rationality of the occasional individual and because any one individual we may win for the cause may do more for humanity than a hundred thousand who hug their superstitions to their breast.

I'm sure you meant "beer pressure," Siberia.

Does anyone know if it's true or not that Benjamin Franklin once said, "beer is proof that God loves us and wants us to be happy?"

It certainly seems that way Dave. All sources I can find say he did. Unless it is some widely spreaded myth like we only use 10% of our brains...

Id like to challenge the Beer has never started a war claim, it seems to me that alcohol is the likely #2 cause behind religion.

The places I've checked indicate publication in Poor Richard's Almanac although which year or page is not listed.
