Millions of forced atheists did "believe" in Lamarckism for years under Lysenko in Stalin's Soviet Union. Darwinism didn't fit the dialectical materialism mold, so was rejected for philosophical reasons. Yet creationists are often under the impression that evolution leads to communism (and strangely, simultaneously they think evolution leads to fascism - how much cognitive dissonance can one brain take?).

And many died as a result of starvation because of crop failure following these principles. Is this a case of "survival of the scientificiest"?
