It might be. It will depend on whether the neocons will stay in power (at least, that's how I see it). Under the neocons, I can see nothing but a stiffling of important scientific research. I was exagerating and still have my hopes up, but still, I don't think that scientific progress will be much valued with the likes of Bush at the top.

The whole argument is just silly. I'm not an atheist just because "Joe Schmo" is an atheist. If every other atheist on the planet became a theist then I guess I would stand alone.

I would rather face a cold reality than delude myself with comforting fantasies.

You are free to believe what you want to believe and I am free to ridicule you for it.
