I'm reading this article, which I thought was from a legit news source, about an assessment of terror risk done by some scientists, which was supposed to be published by the National Academy of Science, but the Bush admin requested the paper be held for security reasons. All fine and dandy, right?

I have to tell you.... it reads like something fromhttp://www.theonion.com.

I'm halfway through and I'm chuckling, had to do a doubletake and recheck the website I was reading. I thought I had been re-directed to some humor or parady site. For real.

Funniest thing in the news for days.

I am not in the least surprised about this. What surprises me in the first place is that this doesn't occur as often as it could.

I have no objections to allowing the gov to have first access to info like this.

The topic is what had me going.... it is almost unbelievable that anyone would assess the terrorist risk in ...(I won't spoil it).

It honestly thought it was a parody of something more serious.

You really think it's that ludicrous? I mean, after all, it is one of the three dietary staples, right after bread and vodka.
