An L.A. Times/Washington Post article published today says that in 1994, a Catholic Archbishop in Portland, OR, blamed the mother of a priest's illegitimate child for the child's existance, because she engaged in "unprotected intercourse...when she should have known that could result in pregnancy."
So, a Catholic woman *can* use birth control, as long as the result is to protect a priest from the results of his sin.
