The complete title is:
"Cicero : The Life and Times of Rome's Greatest Politician"
by Anthony Everitt,
published in 2003

The genre is history, but it's told in a way that's fairly dramatic and entertaining. The book is a sortof biography about Marcus Tullius Cicero who was a very strong politian in Rome during the days of Julius Ceaser. The book is told in somewhat of an adventurous manner where the reader is taken through political, judicial, and military battles that littered the Roman empire during these tumultuous days. Cicero seemed a very skeptical man who walked along the treacherous political lines in the Forum to hold the Republic together. It's definately well written and is an enjoyable nighttime read.

Cicero is indeed an interesting historical figure.
Renowned orator and lawyer, politically important during his lifetime, but I would hardly call him a great politician.

Thanks for the tip, and welcome to SFN, Quirinias!
