Allan passed away this morning.

Update: http://www.save-allan.org/forum/viewtopic.php?t=150
I first learned about it at the Panda's Thumb where they posted the sad news.

May our memories of Allan (Winace) never fade.
May his legacy live on as a testament of his too short life. |

What a bummer. WinAce goes all the way back to our old AOL chat room. He will be missed.
I messed up trying to register at his site. Can anyone send out condolences from the Staff and members of SFN? |

Unfortunate.
My heartfelt sympathies go out to the friends and family of WinAce.
He had a great outlook on life, and a great(imo) sense of humor. He'll be missed.

I have.
Bloody hell, this makes me feel ill...
I also posted in the same message that hopefully the beaurocrats may learn something from this, their self-contradictory rules did not help any. |
"I suppose the honeymoon is over," Emma remarked.
"This is nothing," Kurt waved. "You should have heard her when Wisdom accidentally threw up on her new shoes."
"YOU $#%#^&*&!" Kitty screamed into the phone. "YOU BLEEEEP CAN GO BLEEEP! AND BLEEEEEEEEEEEP!"
"Pretty much like that actually," Kurt winced.

| Oooops, Sorry Ig. We both posted on behalf of SFN. I had to change my screen name to do it. Doesn't matter I guess. I feel so bad about WinAce... I'm glad you mentioned how far back he goes with us... |

I read the links, and this kind of story is disturbing. When one considers such a human example, it makes the problems with our current healthcare scenario- which are going to become more pronounced in years and decades to come- take on a more personal perspective, and the saddening nature of affairs involved becomes more "real" beyond the political worlds of statistics and budgets.

Alas, this is life. Wish I could've known him better. Good by, Allen. Now you're in peace. |
