Try this fun test out and share your results!

I came out as an Epicurean. I'm not sure if I should be proud or embarrassed

Humean, I don't know whether to be flattered or insulted.

I came out as Epicurean also. My next two closest matches were Baconia and Lockean. The descriptions for all three had some feel of familiarity but none seemed a perfect fit.

I guess that goes to show that not only does your philosophy die with you, but you are probably the sole practitioner of said philosophy.

My ranking was just like Espritch's. I don't know whether to be amused or disturbed.

I wonder if this test is something like the daily astrology column... everything sorta fits everybody, somewhat. Maybe I'll take it again and reverse some of my choices...

I can't help but think that test might be more insightful if it had a likert scale. Maybe there was some particular reason they used a yes/no scale.

I noticed that in the write-up for my top two, that I will tend to do things that make people look at me funny.
Maybe I should spend less time playing computer games and, I don't know, get a life.

I also had that thought. Think I'll take it again too. I didn't read all the answers but I bet I'd think they fit me to some extent also.
I think this one fits very well. And when I tell my boy about the 'manic-depressive' comment, he's going to be ROF laughing his ass off, because he's actually called me that.
I KNOW I'm flamboyant. Hint, hint...I make a good party guest, heh he.
5) Augustinian
A volatile, curious and expressive person, you are torn continually between impossible choices. You keenly appreciate both the pleasures of the world and the peace of temperance and chastity, and find yourself flip-flopping between them. You tend to binge on pleasure and then retreat to an almost monastic existence, but can't maintain either state for long. You want badly for others to understand you, but are quick to dismiss them when they ask questions you think are silly or mis-directed. You have strongly settled opinions on every issue, but love to argue, mostly for the pleasure of crushing your opponents with the weight of your arguments, which makes people look at you funny. You write extremely long books and strike people you disagree with over the head with them.

Adjectives: Volatile, flamboyant, manic-depressive, energetic

Ok, by now we all must have noticed that this one line seems to be the same in most of the critiques:
'which makes people look at you funny.'
Are they trying to tell us something, OR what?!!!

Well, my husband says I should be equipped with sub-titles. I can't help it. Why waste a couple of minutes trying to convey a concept when the english language already has a perfectly good word to get the point across? Or as my husband would probably say "Because you're the only person in the mid-west who knows what it means." Ed can be a real smart-ass when he wants to. Hmm, maybe I'll have him take that test when he gets home. Did any of those categories include "believe any damn crap you see on TLC, DISC, etc."?
