I'm at work (without DSL) and didn't have time to wait for the video, but I did find this article on the subject.

Man I could have sworn I made a thread about this game awhile back, but then again Im a search function failure.

I too cant wait for this game, that is if D&D online doesnt suck me into hell. They have mics now so you can talk to anyone who is nearby/in your party.

"...things I have neither seen nor experienced nor heard tell of from anybody else; things, what is more, that do not in fact exist and could not ever exist at all. So my readers must not believe a word I say." -Lucian on his book True History

"...They accept such things on faith alone, without any evidence. So if a fraudulent and cunning person who knows how to take advantage of a situation comes among them, he can make himself rich in a short time." -Lucian critical of early Christians c.166 AD From his book, De Morte Peregrini

Wow! I'm impressed! I don't see Spore as being of particular interest for the IDers, though, unless I'm missing something. It's certainly the beginning of the most sophisticated "life simulation" game I've yet seen.

If I vanish off the forums for months, it'll be because of that game. Wow.

A little joke how you (as god) can just put a part in the animal, like ID evolution....

At least we get to keep you (and I think me) on the boards till then, Dave. That game looks amazing. I just wish there was a demo. I don't think I can wait that long.

Why continue? Because we must. Because we have the call. Because it is nobler to fight for rationality without winning than to give up in the face of continued defeats. Because whatever true progress humanity makes is through the rationality of the occasional individual and because any one individual we may win for the cause may do more for humanity than a hundred thousand who hug their superstitions to their breast.

That game looks so amazing I've watched that 35-minute video twice today, read three different Will Wright interviews, and am going nuts 'cause I won't get to play it tomorrow.

Okay, maybe I do go a little overboard sometimes...

The rest of your life? Hell, I'm going to have to carve parts of my current life away just to have time to play it.
