 Hi Ed,
Don't worry, it's all just opinions and everyone is entitled to one. Canadians are very nice and smart people. Beautiful country up there!

Nice to have another Canuck join. I am at the other end of the Country, one hour away from our nation's capital.

Oh, so I just looked at your profile because Rick mentioned where you are...I just sent a card to an on line friend in Alberta. I've never met her in person but we know each other from a pet chat room. She's always telling me how she hates the cold there.
And hey! I'm kind of 1/2 Canadian....my mother was born there. So THERE!!!

I guess Canadians are nice enough, but I have a hard time refering to anyone who willingly chooses to live that close to the artic circle as smart. Ok, I admit that being a North Carolina native, I may be a bit biased. We get half an inch of snow on the ground and the whole state grinds to a halt while we stand around perplexed thinking, "What the heck is this? Does God think we're Canadians or something?"

 Anyway, welcome to the board.

It was not by choice, but by design.

I find it funny how some Americans have no idea about Canada. On a chat board one day I had a girl in Kentucky convinced I lived in an igloo.

There is a Canadian production on t.v. called This Hour Has Twenty Two Minutes, they have a feature on it called We Asked Americans, I have laughed my ass off watching this. In one episode they interviewed people at, I believe Harvard, I may be wrong though, they said that because of global warming Canada had to build a dome over the parliament buildings as they were made of ice. This dome was erected to prevent them from melting. The people would then on camera congratulate Canada on building their new dome.

Canadians however are not that bright either, I once asked a co worker how many provinces there were in Canada and he responded I'm not sure if it's twenty or twenty two. I laughed there are only six.

Canadians are more Americanized Due to television and movies, and the major fact that U.S. has, if not the largest influence in world affairs, they are certainly one of the main ones.

Yes I am aware that Canada has ten provinces. And three territories, despite the fact that Quebec may eventually decide to seperate. (Highly unlikely)

 No disrespect meant EH!

| Welcome aboard, Badger. Being a 'Canuck' might well pose a problem for yas in the "I hope I can keep up to you all," area at that. (",..you all." Must be from southern Canada?!?) Me advice is a couple of straight shots, should do the trick, or a mild concussion might do, if yer a non-partaker...

| Well, having worked with and for Canadians...they're actually not a bad lot of people. Unfortunately, my company never did as promised and sent me to Canada for a couple weeks. Would have liked to go exploring on the expense account.
 Welcome Badger.

Oh, lord... Where's the emoticon for a long, loud groan?

By the way, the reference above is not accurate... just as Bogart never actually said "Play it again, Sam".

 To wit:

I deny it. No shepherd boy has ever slung a stone at me!

I'm surprised you didn't use the obvious out: that you were quoting not the original line in The Treasure of the Sierra Madre, but the misquote in Blazing Saddles.
