That's actually a very accurate characterization, Antigone. In some regards, it minimizes the kind of stuff that verlch spews, but one cannot criticise BigPapaSmurf's summary too much for being less than exhaustive.

Folks, Verlch might be on to something. A group of dignitaries recently gazed upon a giant bone that appeared at the National Science Foundation's Paradigm Shift Convention in Chicago!
Another giant bone was found with a cryptic message scribbled on it! Oh my.

You guys have alot of explaining to do. Which we all know you will claim ignorance due to the vast amounts of time for everything to develop in your theory.
Look around you, and tell me all of it happened without any thought or guidance. Then do me a favor, look in the mirror and make sure you're not dreaming!
I will remind you all that it takes more faith to believe in this silly theory, that it does to believe in the God of the bible who took the time to write about future events.

You're right. The technology didn't exist then, which is why the bible makes no mention of barcodes or implanted microchips. They were referring to Roman coins which required the "mark" or seal of the Emperor in order to be considered valid currency.
