Bush Touting Economy Ahead of Election 6:20 p.m. ET

WASHINGTON (AP) -- President Bush, who gets higher marks for handling the economy than running the Iraq war, is spending two days this week trying to convince voters Republicans are the best stewards of matters affecting the wallet.

OY Sez: All of this story is on the NYTs/AP web site. But the point I'd like to make is: I've been thinking the past week or so that, hmmmm, Wall Street UP...gas prices DOWN....must be about time for G. War to start talkin' how great the GOP economy is going into the mid-term elections.

What he needs to be talkin' about is how many more poor people there are. How many have no or lousy health coverage. How many in the middle class are gettin' screwed-over by G. War and his Petrofascist
cronies and lackies.

I also thought it was "nice" that OPEC lowered oil prices some more just the other day. Must be payback to the Bushits for their getting all of Osama's family out of the U.S., pronto, after 9/11.

OY!
