Carson kids believe in Santa Claus

Carson, California, December 12, 2006 (SNS) -- Hundreds of children in this lackluster industrial community in Los Angeles County have created a colorful, makeshift shrine to Santa.

The Santa of I-408

What the children call an image of Santa Claus seems to be made up of mineral deposits which have accumulated on the concrete of a freeway overpass support wall. Most adults only see an unsightly, light gray stain. But that hasn't deterred hopeful kids from leaving their signs of respect, and wish-lists, at the site.
