This is a new series available on your tube in which Mr. Deity (a god who is more like a director on a movie set) manages his new creation/concept the Universe. Check it out.

Facts! Pssh, you can prove anything even remotely true with facts.
- Homer Simpson

[God] is an infinite nothing from nowhere with less power over our universe than the secretary of agriculture.
- Prof. Frink

Lisa: Yes, but wouldn't you rather know the truth than to delude yourself for happiness?
Marge: Well... um.... [goes outside to jump on tampoline with Homer.]

I'm going to make a wild, sweeping statement, but one I sincerely believe: We have entered the Golden Age of Atheism. We have six years of George W. Bush's theocratic rule to thank for this blessed occurrence.

This video, and several other presentations I've seen recently prove to me that culturally, atheists are on the offensive, and have superior weapons.

There was a very similar sort of series on youtube, also very good and very funny. It was about a girl who died, gets to heaven and gets assigned to one of the departments there that keeps things running on earth. Can't remember the name anymore, though. Anyone seen that one?

After watching Mr. Deity, part I, youtube offered me this old classic (as well as a five-minute attack on evolution using misunderstood quotes).

I think Episode II is my favorite so far. "I'm three feet behind you, but I'm in the 13th dimension."

Ah, found the series I was talking about: God Inc.

Has a lot of the same kind of humor as Mr. Deity.

Well unfortunatly like in Vietnam, superior weapons mean little in this battle. You seem to have forgotten the great saying, "Never underestimate stupid people in large groups"

I for one see a second dark age as far more likely than any atheism revolution. Not that I would want one, atheists scare me a bit more then YECs.

"...things I have neither seen nor experienced nor heard tell of from anybody else; things, what is more, that do not in fact exist and could not ever exist at all. So my readers must not believe a word I say." -Lucian on his book True History

"...They accept such things on faith alone, without any evidence. So if a fraudulent and cunning person who knows how to take advantage of a situation comes among them, he can make himself rich in a short time." -Lucian critical of early Christians c.166 AD From his book, De Morte Peregrini

Atheists running things doesn't really scare me. Scientists and Engineers running everything does kind of scare me. I know coz I is one. I only mention this because I believe there's a not statistically insignificant overlap with these groups.

Projects that get ignored when newer and more interesting problems is all well and good (you only have to look at one of my work areas to understand my POV on this), except where the project is a school, aircraft, hospital, or road.

I like #2 the best as well. I think the best quote is the first line: "Obviously thats the down side." Cracks me up every time.

Ok, I finally watched one--then had to watch them all. Hilarious stuff. The messages episode had me in stitches. "This is 60% of what I get. Spam." [presses delete]

"Yeah, leave it in. Oh, but wait for Lou."
"Wait for Lou... makes sense."
