Today something really surprised me,

I moved in a new flat 1 month and a half ago, I am not often in my apartment but still I hardly managed to speak to two of my neighbours. But today I met lot of them just because the TV relay was dead.

When I came back from work they were all asking, if my TV was working. And they were quite puzzled when I told them I had not one.

I did not expect TV to be so efficient to prevent people to talk to each other. This is really a great tool to keep people quiet.

I would not say, that a TV is a good tool to isolate people and keep them from communicating.

I have often experienced TV having the opposite result. People talk about things they saw on TV. Stuff like 'Big Brother' for example.

Your neighbours would probably have started to talk with each other if something else like central heating had died.
