My nephew is growing up to be a good little skeptic. Recently he came across a Young Earth Creationist site. He tried asking them a question on how come there are no fossils of humans or modern animals alongside dinosaur fossils. He got a response long on words, but short on facts.
He is considering responding with this link.

Not bad. I like it.
But, I think he should also add a little polite text on his side of the subject.
I'd like to hear how it comes out.

How about the following dialog for a verbal response?
creationist: Who do you think made you?
skeptic: I wasn't made; I evolved. We all evolved - some of us more than others, if you get my drift.
Only the very dullest of the dull fail to get the drift, and, oooh, they don't like that one.

Well, that was short on words *and* facts. I think he'd make a better skeptic if he answered back telling them exactly what was wrong with their answer. I bet even a 10-year-old could do that!

That link whould get you banned from any debate site. Name-calling is not debate! There's nothing to stop creationists from doing the same thing.

OK, who changed this web site around. I haven't been here in awhile, and I got lost. Oh, well. I guess that's my problem.
Anyway, as much as I loved "this link", and got a great chuckle out of it, I really have to agree with SueW0. I get enough intolerance, and ad hominem attacks from the Christian right to realize I would never want to stoop to the same level. Sorry, all. But I guess I'm just a spoil sport.

You do? Shame that never works with my girl-friend (ahem).
OK, I deserve a right panning for that one...

You are making the mistake that you ever had a chance to win the arguement in the first place.

True, perhaps I used the wrong words...holding ground may be a better phrase. Having been raised Catholic, and first marriage was to a Southern Baptist, and I am now a skeptic...any wonder I am confused?
