As seen here.

Look again at that dot. That's here. That's home. That's us. On it everyone you love, everyone you know, everyone you ever heard of, every human being who ever was, lived out their lives. The aggregate of our joy and suffering, thousands of confident religions, ideologies, and economic doctrines, every hunter and forager, every hero and coward, every creator and destroyer of civilization, every king and peasant, every young couple in love, every mother and father, hopeful child, inventor and explorer, every teacher of morals, every corrupt politician, every "superstar," every "supreme leader," every saint and sinner in the history of our species lived there – on a mote of dust suspended in a sunbeam.
Carl Sagan - 1996

If you look at this:

RealClearPolitics Electoral College

And then this battleground state:

Colorado: McCain vs. Obama

You see how dire this is getting for McCain. Naturally, things can change. But if the trend continues, McPalin is toast…

Uncertainty may make you uncomfortable. Certainty makes you ridiculous.

Why not question something for a change?

What's your point? And be careful. It better be a good one.

2% is large?

Why continue? Because we must. Because we have the call. Because it is nobler to fight for rationality without winning than to give up in the face of continued defeats. Because whatever true progress humanity makes is through the rationality of the occasional individual and because any one individual we may win for the cause may do more for humanity than a hundred thousand who hug their superstitions to their breast.

I'm going to second guess him to say he's basing that goofy comment entirely on this e-tripe, or the like, circling around the lazy-thinker circuit...

The point is not as to Obama's religion, it is the appearance of what religion he may be hiding.

From outward appearances, he has been over the last 20 years a Black Liberation Christian.

This does not mean that a great many people do not believe him Muslim in disguise, and certainly a great many Muslim voters would identify with voting for a potential friend.

I think it's starting to look like there'll be a landslide for Obama next month. Must be that everyone's converting to Islam, eh, nocojones?

You have your insult wrong.

I did not and would not now vote for Bush.

The funny thing is you are so caught up in the theater that is provided for you that you can not see that Bush and Clinton moved the nation in the exact same direction. Your emotional ties to your chosen party will not allow you to see this, but if you want to be honest, look at the results from the last two 8 year terms. Find the distinct difference.

Last time I checked, Bush wasn't on the ballot.

A great many people believe the earth is 6000 years old, a great many people think Iraq had WMD, a great many people think Iraq is tied to 9/11, a great many people think 9/11 was an inside job.

They, as are those who think Obama is a Muslim, are retarded.

Clinton generated a budget surplus, while Bush has emphasized spending-spending-spending.

In another sign of how little grip she has on the reality thing, Sarah Palin disagrees with John McCain, and wants to campaign in Michigan anyway, despite her running mate's decision to retreat from the state.
In an interview with Fox News Friday the Republican vice presidential candidate appeared to be disappointed with the decision and said she still wants to take a stab at wining the state that hasn't voted for a Republican presidential candidate in two decades.

She also said she made her disagreement known to top campaign officials:

"I fired a quick e-mail and said, 'oh, come on! Do we have to call it there?' she said. " Todd and I would [be] happy to get to Michigan and walk through those plants [with] car manufacturers.

[My emphasis.]
What, Sarah? You want to walk through those empty auto plants with the manufacturers, not with unemployed "Joe Six-Pack" (with whom you, with such offensive condescension, identified yourself on Thursday)???

Maybe Palin doesn't know it, but there are a lot more auto workers than there are car manufacturers in Michigan. Getting the executive votes just ain't going to cut it.
