Some sample threads from Prophecy Fellowship Forums. I'd post a thread from Rapture Ready only I'm still banned from the site, and I can't get in. I'm too lazy to hunt and search for a working proxy, so to hell with it.

The first thread from the Prophecy Fellowship Forums seems more conciliatory than the second thread. In the second thread they whine more. Therefore it's more entertaining. Check out post #7 in the second link.

Our friends at Rapture Ready:

http://www.rr-bb.com/showthread.php?t=66816

Some highlights:

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

"God help us, indeed. I fear, however, that we have just seen the Lord remove His hand of protection from this formerly great nation.

I turned off the TV; I couldn't stomach the mesmerizing of the masses. Ugh."

"My brother sent me a link a couple of days ago, with the opinion that Obama is using hypnotic techniques, which were described. I need to go back and read it more thoroughly, but in watching him speak, I could see some of the techniques he used, that had been listed in the article. I have NEVER seen people react like this to a political figure before in my life, and I just turned 64."

"I noticed he made the statement 'We might not get there in one year or in one TERM - but we will get there' -- sounds like he's preparing the the way for re-election already - 2012------- or will we even have elections by then?

Sorry Hillary, you will be 'too old' to run in 2016.

I don't know where 'there' is for him - but I know where 'there' is for me - and I hope it is much sooner than 2012 - maybe tomorrow."

"But is he really an American? He still refused to prove it!"

From other threads:

"This looks to be America's last free election. Considering the economic and social situation of the U.S. at this time, from everything I've learned about Mr. Obama, and how his followers seem to passionately view him as their saviour, what is happening now in the U.S. reminds me alot of what was going in pre-war Germany. Life for Jews, Christians and any other freedom-loving person in the U.S. is about to become very very difficult.

All that is left now is to see how fast America abandons Israel."

"Is it just me, or did anyone else notice Obama's 333 electoral tally for a good bit on the MSM? They didn't show it forever, but nonetheless showed it for a good bit.

Does the MSM have some fascination with numerical messages? Are their evil forces doing so behind them?

The election wasn't fixed...right..."

"America as we know it will cease to exist. He will destroy it beyond recognition. No wonder it isn't mentioned in the Bible. Obama will make it go away. I am saddened for those who died for the freedoms that Obama will take away. I am sad for my children. Did we learn nothing from Hitler? Obama is Hitler redux. I am officially John Galt and will be shrugging HARD for the next 4 years until the brownshirts come to my home and personally make me knock it off."

"I'm sorry, but he'll NEVER be "MY president." I don't think I felt this sucker-punched the first few minutes after 911, and that's a fact.

At least on 9/11, an enemy attacked us. This time we've done it to ourselves."

"A Muslim in the White House.

Super."

They are a pack of idiots.

I wouldn't call them traitors, but they are enemies of freedom and secular government.

From Prophecy Fellowship Forums linked to by Ig:
"So this is how democracy dies, with thunderous applause." Padme Amidala

I thought Obama won both the popular vote and the electoral vote. What is wrong with these people? They see the death of democracy in the election of a clear winner, democratically elected? I wonder what version of democracy they subscribe too?

For the hell of it, here's an example of a failed prediction by a fundy.

Save that page for future reference before he takes it down.

I especially like the remark made by brainless Jinx there. Now, he'll have to take the question more seriously.

Anyone quoting anything from those movies to try to make a point really needs to take a good long look at their life.

You forget about all of the gun forums. I'll just give the gist of their responses - "Out of my COLD DEAD HANDS!" - "LOCK & LOAD!", "Stocking up on extra MAGS & AMMO!" "Bury your Assault Weapons".....etc...

I would rather face a cold reality than delude myself with comforting fantasies.

PZ Myers has found another person who is dissatisfied with the election.

Here's a direct link to the wingnut in question.

Wait... so the thought that their God might actually have been on Obama's side instead of theirs has never crossed their mind?
Crossed their minds? Hell they would probably hate themselves for having that very thought. Then their head would explode. I'm thinking Scanners.

Maybe somebody should go and suggest it to them; you know, thinning the ranks before the next elections...

Look again at that dot. That's here. That's home. That's us. On it everyone you love, everyone you know, everyone you ever heard of, every human being who ever was, lived out their lives. The aggregate of our joy and suffering, thousands of confident religions, ideologies, and economic doctrines, every hunter and forager, every hero and coward, every creator and destroyer of civilization, every king and peasant, every young couple in love, every mother and father, hopeful child, inventor and explorer, every teacher of morals, every corrupt politician, every "superstar," every "supreme leader," every saint and sinner in the history of our species lived there – on a mote of dust suspended in a sunbeam.
