Name these ten mixed-up people, some living, some dead, all of whom are to various degrees important to critical thinking (none of them are PZ Myers, as his name, in its best known form, produces no anagrams):

1. Ships her hectic thorn

2. Anal scrag

3. Sandwich rid ark

4. Dental dentine

5. I film loco macaw

6. Go teen cuties

7. As via mosaic

8. I be stab him

9. Sir Ashram

10. Cranial shrewd

Okay:

I milk ID, slam Web = William Dembski (sweet!)

A leech be him = Michael Behe (accurate!)

Rise and jam = James Randi (hoo-rah!)

"Lenten nerd pal" is giving me problems.

This time, I will leave the problems unanswered for a bit.

The following are all skeptics. Some of these may be harder than before, as a few are less known, and some have longer names.

1. Your hind hair

2. Mine jam hyena

3. Banana-paved Mars

4. Ah, I'll tip Pip

5. Ma gave a sad

6. Strep rehab tent

7. Old crab told terror

8. A randy nun

9. Mad, errant Ring

10. Oops, mislaid room

Here are the ones I got so far. I'm using the spoiler so the list will be invisible unless you want it spoiled for you. They are also in the order that I figured them out:

4. Phil Plait

1. Harry Houdini

5. Adam Savage

7. Robert Todd Carrol

8. Ann Druyan

6. Stephen Barrett

2. Jamie Hyneman

I still haven't gotten these, but I'm working on them:

3. Banana-paved Mars

9. Mad, errant Ring

10. Oops, mislaid room

Uncertainty may make you uncomfortable. Certainty makes you ridiculous.

Two more:

3. Basava Premanand

10. Massimo Polidoro

I just need:

9. Mad, errant Ring

Don't think I'm going to get it though. My brain hurts now.

Nice work, Kil! I was much slower, with Dave's. You're sure to get that last one.

Got it. And what is weird is the persons name kept jumping into my head and I couldn't make it fit, like I had a blind spot or something. I kept looking over to my bookcase and there it was. Here it is:

9. Martin Gardner

Whew!!! And that should have been an easy one. May I do something productive now?

I had the same problem with that one from Dave which had more than one person's name. I saw both names from time to time, but some mind-freeze kept me from putting it together, and I instead kept trying something "fresh."
