"Sin" is a very important requirement for religion. When so many in a congregation truly believe they are Hellbound, they desperately sing the hymns louder, and toss more money into the collection plates.
Like the religious affiliations of imprisoned felons, this survey again puts the lie to the constant refrain from the preachers that morality is impossible without faith.
No, churches are impossible without sinners to fill the pews.
