As for Rush, he is more than happy about the attention he is getting. He is happy as a pig in shit. (My apology to actual pigs who probably don't deserve that analogy, and who do more to serve us than Rush has ever done.) After eight years of being largely ignored, except for things like, you know, drug busts, he is top dog again among those independent thinkers on the right who call themselves "dito heads".

As much as I hate Rush Limbaugh, I love the bastard for showing us, by word anyhow, at least one segment of the right for what it is...
Agree entirely. And those neckties are to die for! What a pity I never wear one, and won't.....

May he live long and never catch the lock-jaw, lest his poor ditto-heads all go into a permanent, vegetative state.

By the way, have you guys seen Steven Colbert's bit about the noxious Zeppelin?

Look again at that dot. That's here. That's home. That's us. On it everyone you love, everyone you know, everyone you ever heard of, every human being who ever was, lived out their lives. The aggregate of our joy and suffering, thousands of confident religions, ideologies, and economic doctrines, every hunter and forager, every hero and coward, every creator and destroyer of civilization, every king and peasant, every young couple in love, every mother and father, hopeful child, inventor and explorer, every teacher of morals, every corrupt politician, every "superstar," every "supreme leader," every saint and sinner in the history of our species lived there – on a mote of dust suspended in a sunbeam.
Carl Sagan - 1996
