Ed Brayton found this.

Please note that he correctly notes that this guy was a nutjob of some sort...he posted that news story as a counter-example to the theists who blame "atheism" for this kind of stuff.

What brought that on? this. Original posting here.

Another example of this guy's lunacy here.

Except that I am not aware of a single case when an atheist did kill anybody for believing in God; except in the addled mind of some Religionists (the claim has been made about Columbine, but it is clear that the crazies did not effectuate much selection).

Look again at that dot. That's here. That's home. That's us. On it everyone you love, everyone you know, everyone you ever heard of, every human being who ever was, lived out their lives. The aggregate of our joy and suffering, thousands of confident religions, ideologies, and economic doctrines, every hunter and forager, every hero and coward, every creator and destroyer of civilization, every king and peasant, every young couple in love, every mother and father, hopeful child, inventor and explorer, every teacher of morals, every corrupt politician, every "superstar," every "supreme leader," every saint and sinner in the history of our species lived there – on a mote of dust suspended in a sunbeam.

As this guy points out that doesn't stop the people like those at AIG from blaming "humanism"...

There really has been some Christian persecution in China in recent years, but it's political. The Christians aren't being targeted because of their beliefs, but because their growing power threatens the authority of the people in charge.

Ho yeah; I was speaking about individual nutcases, not whole political system of them...

They're not just targeting christians though. Being a member of Falun Gong can also mean a quick trip to the traveling execution van to be cut up for spare parts.
