"Do you like older guys?" a 42-year-old Colorado Springs man who listed his employer as evangelical ministry Focus on the Family asked 11 minutes after initiating contact in an Internet chat room with a girl he believed to be younger than 15, according to an arrest affidavit released Monday by the Jefferson County District Attorney's Office.
Turns out the "teenager" was really an investigator with the district attorney's office, as Juan Alberto Ovalle discovered the next afternoon when he was arrested on two felony counts in Lakewood after arranging to meet the girl for sex, according to the affidavit. |
I guess the "holy spirit" wasn't guiding their HR people...
Some of his commentators point out that being interested in a 15-year old is not actually pedophilia, but damn it, it's close enough in my book, I'm not changing the title.

Yeh, saw that at Raw Story and it caused small surprise. Just another sanctimonious, Phelpsian faggot doing what seems more and more to come naturally to them. How many does that make now -- I've lost track.
Actually, I am a little surprised that more haven't come from FOF, that I know of anyway. After all, their leader and icon is a child-abuse advocate who has written an instruction manual on that very topic.
And, as I recall, the Bible too, has pretty shitty attitude toward children.

The FFRF's monthly newspaper always has a 2-page spread, in small print, of "Black collar crimes" (crimes by clergy). It's always an interesting read.
It's not available online, but you can request a free copy here.
(Doing so, of course, may have the effect of signing you up to receive periodic mailings from them suggesting you donate or become a member).

I subscribe to FFRF, and yes, they do have the Black Collar Crimes section on two pages.
In the last issue, under Arrested/Charged section, 12 of 16 were sexual crimes, the others included vandelim, corruption, aggraved burglary, and theft.
Under the Sentenced section, 7 of 9 were sexual crimes.
Lawsuits settles section: ALL were sexually related.
Pretty sad really, but not suprising. That's what you get from sexually oppressed people.
