It's all about mind control!
As I lined up with hundreds of others to get inside London's famed Natural History Museum to visit its new Darwin exhibition (England is celebrating Charles Darwin's 200th birthday this year), I couldn't help but wonder: was this going to be some kind of attempt at mind control? After I went through the exhibition, there was no doubt!

The Darwin exhibit reminded me of one of those bizarre science fiction movies where people line up to be placed in a special machine and emerge like robots; these people now can't think for themselves, and they end up being like those people who brainwashed them. 'explanitions'

In a related way, I found the Darwin exhibit to be a very clever form of mind control, basically consisting of:
And there follows the consistenations and the rather imaginative explanations thereof. Who sez Creationists don't think?

But wait, lets look at the other side of the coin. Ham has this marvelous creation museum that purports to tell the truth about Earth's brief history but yet is not supported by the least of scientific evidence. Does this not make the whole thing a grandiose lie, whatever the beliefs and intents of it's creators might be?

It comes at us from everywhere, this "mind control" business. Radio & television, newspapers and magazines (does anyone read those anymore?), our schools, our political leaders, and most insidiously I think, the churchs which pass along the fantastic as fact. But, y'know, it doesn't really work all that well.

So Ken, you are in no position to whine & bitch about mind control because it is what you attempt every, single day and in every word that you speak and write.

Mr. Ham wouldn't lie, he's a Christian.[/sarcasm]
