While reading about the death of the last true American TV-reporter, I'm reminded of an old Don Henley song - Diry Laundry.

In this video (live performance) you also get the lyrics subtitled.

That's a very smart take on the news media. Thanks for the link, Mab!

Here's a link to a documentary that I find interesting:

http://www.youtube.com/view_play_list?p=A6FC800D209B1D11

"Outfoxed" is a documentary by Robert Greenwald that examines FOX News and the methods it uses in its programming. I was reminded of this documentary because it uses "Dirty Laundry" by Don Henley and the end of "Layla" by Eric Clapton. It also includes interviews with whistleblowers, TV news employees, and views from the late Walter Cronkite.

In case you get too depressed, solutions to this problem are also offered in the last part, and be sure to watch through the closing credits for "Dirty Laundry", cases of how the media can be given back to the people, and Walter Cronkite mulling his career options.

“In a modern...society, everybody has the absolute right to believe whatever they damn well please, but they don't have the same right to be taken seriously”.
