I'm not making an actual link to that guy's post because, after reading his blog, I get the impression that he just might not be completely stable, so it might be best if he doesn't find his way here. I'll leave that up to the readers here...the link is below, you can use it if you want.

thelawmanchronicles.blogspot.com/2009/08/carrie-cacophony-of-contradiction-and.html

Otherwise, just type in "The Lawman Chronicles" and "Carrie: A Cacophony of Contradiction and Condescension" into google or something.

Now, for a taste of the paranoia. It's not the recording of his street preaching that shows it, it's his "fear" that xians in America will eventually be persecuted:

The day is coming when speaking about the truths of Scripture and the Lord Jesus Christ will actually cost the American Christian something--just as it already does, every day, for our Christian brethren in other parts of the world. While God is, of course, sovereign over all things--including the lives of His children (Christians); it is important that Christians exercise wisdom, discernment, and sound tactics when engaged in street evangelism. Since we can't stop proclaiming the gospel, no matter what the cost, carrying a recording device is one small way the Christians can protect themselves on the streets.

Get a load of his sidebar, where he brags about annoying people on the street.

What brought that on? this. Original posting here.

Hmph. If God isn't worried about Christians being persecued, and evidently he/she/it isn't, why should I be? Hell, that's just putting te shoe on the other foot, really. Everybody persecutes everyone else at some time or another, and the Christians have all but made it into an art form, as this clown demonstrates.

I think maybe I'll drop in for a closer look.

Hmph again. Just another street preacher -- I've heard better. Imposing-looking fellow, though.

This is interesting; he has photos on his blog, yet I can't get them to work here. Paranoia indeed!

I really don't think that Carrie should have confronted him. Now, she has his attention and that could escalate.

People who are making a spectacle of themselves in public with a largely unpopular message need that kind of bizarre, reverse metric to justify themselves. Street preachers seem to be masters of motivating themselves with the result of their own failure to communicate.

Around 1970 when I was a revolutionary Marxist, I used to flog a radical newspaper on the street as part of my required political "work." I never was able, as some of my comrades were, to consider hostile reactions to be some kind of positive feedback. Just thinking of going out to sell that newspaper made me cringe. No wonder I wasn't fit for the radical movement in the long haul.

But as with this cop/street preacher, once you can make your brain invert the implications of your senses, amazing feats of lunacy are possible.

What a fucking hypocrite.

Ho; I love him and turn the other cheek because I am suuuuuch a good Christian.
Of course, I provide all the information I can so that he can be fired in a totally disproportionate and petty revenge, but I am not going to mention that. I am such a good loving Christian...

Asshole.

Look again at that dot. That's here. That's home. That's us. On it everyone you love, everyone you know, everyone you ever heard of, every human being who ever was, lived out their lives. The aggregate of our joy and suffering, thousands of confident religions, ideologies, and economic doctrines, every hunter and forager, every hero and coward, every creator and destroyer of civilization, every king and peasant, every young couple in love, every mother and father, hopeful child, inventor and explorer, every teacher of morals, every corrupt politician, every "superstar," every "supreme leader," every saint and sinner in the history of our species lived there – on a mote of dust suspended in a sunbeam.

This is what I said in response to this post of his.
thelawmanchronicles.blogspot.com/2009/08/im-herald-not-negotiator-word-to.html
If you did answer all the skeptic's questions, of course we'd change our minds...I would.

But there's not a chance in hell of that happening, is there?

From what you've said, it seems that you've already made up your mind about what our response would be and our motive behind it.

I can only hope that you weren't this stupid when you worked as a law enforcement officer.

I mentioned in a comment right after that, that the stupidity I was referring to was his proud use of circular reasoning. Such a thing would be a nightmare in a law enforcement official.
