Egnor's title, A Mind, Even if It's Just a Couple of Pounds of Meat, Is a Terrible Thing to Waste, is certainly self-referent in this case.
Two pounds of sausage is a terrible thing to carry around on your shoulders, Dr. Egnor. And with how much of your own healthy assets and robust medical practice income did you fund and tithe the new "charity" that you have founded? |

Michael Egnor has been around the block too many times to write this off as Egnorance.
We've all seen examples of wealth built upon the distasteful. The ostentatious mansions of drug kingpins, sleazy corporate lawyers or high-volume spammers, for examples.
Michael Egnor lives in intellectual opulence of the worst kind. They weren't riches built with blood money or on the backs of seventeen-year-old girls, his were built upon lies. And to maintain the sweet life (which includes having DI hacks and sycophants put powder on his bottom and tell him he's special), he has to keep on lying. Otherwise, the facade would start to come down, and then everyone would see that it's really a ramshackle hovel, built with rotten beams, with a little paint smeared over the urine stains and sprinkled liberally with glitter to hide the flyspecks. Egnor has the intellectual wealth of being so completely unhindered by common decency that he can make stuff up and not feel the least twinge of regret that his gilded house is little more than a roughly polished turd.
My intellectual home is, indeed, squalid compared to what Egnor believes he's got. But it's an honest, hard-working, middle-class home that doesn't depend upon bootlickers and other courtiers to stay upright. It resists the rains of nonsense, and the winds of blowhards. And when I need more room, critical thought and research can add a whole new wing, almost overnight, to be filled with real, solid knowledge as time permits. It's a good house. You won't see me trading for Egnor's mansions of self-glorification, that's for sure. |

Egnor's house is built from a tissue of lies. As the Disco 'Tute's pet brain surgeon monkey, Egnor is highlighted in a rabid and dishonest attack upon the New Atheists.
Interestingly, isn't it, that atheism provokes such an outburst of invective from a group of "cdesign proponentsists" that claims to support a "theory" that isn't at all religious?
