Interesting; this used to be the match-up in the 80's and resulted in quite a bit of controversy. (E.g. their 1984 match, which was call a no decision after they'd played 48 games, or their match in '86, etc.)
However, Kasparov hasn't played in a few years to say nothing of Karpov. I wonder how well they'll do-- esp. Karpov. |

| More information on the event. Things more or less went as expected; Karpov has fallen out of the top 100 and Kasparov, while likely no longer the strongest player in the world, is still among the top 10 or so. |
