Apparently the administration of shrub jr. thought they could be turned into frogs with incantations, so they didn't want the kiddies of the future learning how to do it. Believe me, if they had been turned into anurans it would have been a step up on the evolutionary ladder.

Small surprise, really. After all, if one believes in religious myth, why not witchcraft? The most prominent example current is the cretin Palin, followed by a long, ignoble procession of superstitious, political clods, mostly Republican.
Today, Bush is a political corpse, which, in his case, is almost as good as being an actual one. Perhaps Obama might choose to give Rowling the well-deserved award, but he's pretty well indoctrinated by some faith or other too, so I'm not holding my breath.
