The book had it's moments but I didn't care all that much for it, however, I am loving this confederacy of dunces and wish I could attend one of their events. It'd be a hoot!

Demand the Evidence

•Can Genesis be trusted when it says God created the world in 6 days?

•What does belief in evolution say about the character of God?

•Is the earth really millions or billions of years old?

•Who has the last word on interpreting what God said and did—scientists or Scripture?

•Are Christians prepared to combat false doctrine and those who would compromise the Word of God?

In 2009, the world is celebrating the life and work of Charles Darwin, the man who popularized the notion of evolution. Are you prepared to combat this false doctrine and those who would compromise the Word of God?

For nearly 40 years, the Institute for Creation Research has led the way in research and education in the field of scientific and biblical creation, bringing the evidence for creation to churches, schools, and in citywide conferences.

In the Demand the Evidence Conference, hear speakers like Dr. Henry Morris III, Dr. John Morris, Dr. Randy Guliuzza, and others who present solid evidence from science and Scripture on topics such as Proclaiming Christ as Creator and Lord, Genesis and the Character of God, Biblical and Scientific Evidence for Recent Creation, Examining the Complexities of the Human Body, and many more.

Demand the evidence....

They don't have to demand it; it's been all but spoon fed to them ever since Darwin. If anyone should make any evidential demands, it should be us and the folks these dunces blythly lie to every Sunday. I wanna see scientific evidence that the earth is only 6,000 years old and Scriptural myths provide nothing of the sort.

Demand the evidence....

Someone kindly enlighten me if I've missed something, but I don't recall anything in the Bible about Christ being The Creator. That boy wasn't even a lustful gleam in God's eye when Genesis was written.

I think we know ICR's answer there.

And that's why all their statements of scientific "fact" are bogus. They totally reject both science and reality, wherever excluded by their interpretation of "Scripture." For them, the Bible is Alpha and Omega, and thinking for oneself is Satanic.

(That applies only to their ignorant flock, of course. They themselves can be devilishly creative in reading Biblical entrails to find a meaning that suits them best.)

Why not a philosopher? Or a plumber? Or a 5-year-old?

Or you or me, why not? We have as good a grasp on the metaphysical as any of those creato-oafs and honest scientists are too busy to mess around with such nonsense.

But I, not much caring about what any sacred text has to say about much of anything, will answer that, as the myth explains mythical, Scripture is correct.
