In the Cracked websites' 5 Circles of Baffling Webcomic Hell.

Lietha makes the fourth level, along with "FaithMouse" and that goddamned creepy-as-hell cartoon with Obama and the nuns.

Guess who makes the next circle? Hal Lindsey's own John Rule!

I have to thank Comedy Central's Indecision blog for introducing me to Hal Lindsey's work. So, thank you. And go to Hell.

As with the above, some of Hal's stuff is coherent enough to establish that he's pretty far on the right:

Well, read on.

What brought that on? this. Original posting here.

Another example of this guy's lunacy here.

Wow, just holy shit wow!

The AiG's Dan Lietha is one of the worst, dumbest cartoonists I've ever seen. It's embarrassing to even read that stuff. AiG should fire that moron from their staff. But if they fired staff simply for being stupid, who would they have left?

Aside from the execrable outright Nazi stuff deeper into the collection, the Hal Lindsey-Al Rule cartoons are among the weirdest cartoons I've ever laid eyes upon -- and I've read a ton of 60's "comix" by certifiably insane, brain-fried artists. (But I could understand the Checkered Demon.)

The Lindsey/Rule cartoons are simply a waste of bad art. These are completely incompetent, gibbering, incomprehensible demented nightmares. By comparison, they make loony Jack Chick's tracts seem like textbook cases of directed propaganda. The one with the ACLU fairy, a transgendered Boy Scout leader and a Salvation Army atheist gorilla made me scratch my head until my scalp began to hemorrhage. (But, taking one possible guess at the meaning, isn't it wonderful that the fruitbats are turning upon one another?)

And the planet-sized Al Gore head breathing fire at Saturn, there's a message that will resonate as the shrieks echo down the halls of Bedlam Asylum.

One good thing: I'm actually beginning to think that, at least by comparison, Maybe The Dings aren't as bad as I'd thought.
