Just get a load of this loon.

"I don't care what the educational political lobby and their allies on the left say," he declared at one point. "Evolution is hooey." This bled into a rant about American history. "The secular humanists may argue that we are a secular nation," McLeroy said, jabbing his finger in the air for emphasis. "But we are a Christian nation founded on Christian principals. The way I evaluate history textbooks is first I see how they cover Christianity and Israel. Then I see how they treat Ronald Reagan-he needs to get credit for saving the world from communism and for the good economy over the last twenty years because he lowered taxes."

Holy shit. And the Texans have a huge impact on the national sales of textbooks.

You guys are borked.

"Christian nation"? Bullshit. We're "Christ" even implied in your constitution? For that matter, how can the States say that their based on "xian principals" when they had to break several of them when you guys had your American Revolution? All that biblical stuff about submitting to your leaders because god put them there, and all that.

And Israel? The States' history as a nation goes back to the 1770s. Israel only became a nation again in the late 1940s. And, it's a foreign country to boot! Shouldn't history in the States focus on the history OF the States?

As I said, holy shit.

What brought that on? this. Original posting here.

Another example of this guy's lunacy here.

A real sweetheart, ain't he? No he's not; he's just another fancy version of a teabagger and worthy only of contempt.

If McElroy actually gets his crap up and running, he and the rest of the TX Board of Education'd better lawyer up 'cause they's goin' to court. I look forward to it.
