Science Blogger Greg Laden took a nasty fall on sidewalk black ice yesterday.
In the hospital after being loaded to the gills with morphine, Laden asked nurses, "Did you hear that ... that sound ... Cthulhu ... Cthulhu ..."
Here's wishing Greg a speedy recovery.

Easy now, filthy, easy.
I'm sure Halfmooner was just using the knee injury as a vehicle to tell the story about "...Cthulhu...", which by the way was awesome. I wonder how many nurses would catch that. 
As long as you only have one broken hand, there's still the other to wipe your behind. I have a friend who lost both arms after being run over by a train. We're not close enough for me to dare asking how he manages...
