It always strikes me as unbearably outrageous when any government takes civil rights of any kind away from its citizens. Gov. McDonnell's executive order is no exception.
I was going to rant about how Virginia is some kind of uniquely reactionary repressive state... but then I recalled that my great, "progressive" state of California all too recently ripped off the right to marriage of some 10% or so of its own citizens. |
