This ought to be good: Ann Coulter is to be on the Michael Coren Show.
| Coulter isn't for everyone but she's certainly clever, funny, provocative and interesting. Problem is, though, she's right-wing. You see it's okay to be controversial and perhaps offensive if you're a leftist, an atheist, an anti-Zionist or a militant homosexual but not if you're a Christian and a conservative. It's hilarious that the same students at the University of Western Ontario in London who two weeks ago organised Israel Apartheid week and made the most outrageous and at times even racist claims about the Jewish state are now calling on Ann Coulter to be banned from speaking because she, "crosses the line and spreads hatred." |
He's got a point about the university students maybe, but boy. The usual right-wing bitching from him. And soon, from her.

Yeah, sure. I would correct that only by mentioning that Coulter's probably for nobody but Coulter. And by saying that she's hardly clever to shoot her mouth off without even a decent background in the subjects she tackles, as when she recently stated with certainty that Canada fought alongside the US in Vietnam.
Coulter is a raving, rightist, bigoted partisan harpy, too lazy and arrogant to inform herself of even basic facts. She makes good money from her books, and serves only herself.
Still, she should be allowed her voice. The students who oppose her being able to speak should at least consider how much her free speech would help them to expose the poverty and idiocy of NeoConservatism. |
