I'm not either -- why should I be?

Anyhow, Ken Ham has managed to hustle up enough bread to kick off his billboard campaign starting with Atlanta, a city already hosting a plethora of trite, often smarmy, religious encouragements.

Ever since Answers in Genesis launched the www.iamnotashamed.org campaign, which included a TV spot last Sunday on 60 Minutes nationwide, we have received numerous enquiries across the country from people wanting to sponsor one or more of the “I am not ashamed” billboards in their area. It takes time to line up the billboard, produce and wrap the board, and get it up. But gradually we will be seeing this happen more and more across the country.

We are thrilled to show you a photograph of the first “I am not ashamed” billboard to go up—it is in the Atlanta area (actually, it is in Oakwood, Georgia). It sits on Winder Highway and I-985.

Well, I am happy for you, and If I get down that way again, I'll be sure to flip it off. I wonder; is the atheist billboard still up near the AiG headquarters?

In all truth though, I'd perfectly content if there were no billboards at all. None of them are anything but eyesores.

Ditto. A blight on the landscape.

I think that's a pretty good message to send out to people.

I saw a billboard while driving through Oregon. It had on it several pictures of a man turning into an ape. The caption read "They Are Trying to Make Monkeys Out of Us." And on the bottom it read "Remember Who Your Creator Is."

Sigh...

At least it's not a bigoted piece of shit trash like their previous billboard. I think they should be ashamed of that.

As for myself, I'm not ahamed of anything. Being ashamed of some things in my life, well, that's different.

What brought that on? this. Original posting here.

Another example of this guy's lunacy here.

I remember that one! Indeed, I think we might have had a discussion on it, a few years back. And it shows the mind-set that AiG has and will continuie to have, even disguised as a catchy, pious phrase.

Oh look. I found it. I got some of the wording wrong, but not wrong enough to edit my post.

Forget the billboards. The whole "I Am Not Ashamed" campaign includes this:
We wanted a message that would offer a clear call to Christians around the world to stand unashamedly and uncompromisingly on the Bible.
So, Happy Jihad's House of Pancakes and PZ Myers, as a part of last weekend's Blog Against Theocracy, began a campaign of getting atheists to stand unashamedly on Bibles. For example:

Don't miss out on Part II and Part III.

Yes, and what a considerate fellow. He even went so far as to not wear his barn boots as well as change his socks.

I wanted to send in a photo but couldn't find a Bible. It's for the best, I suppose. My sense of balance is such these days that I might have fallen off and gotten hurt.
