As usual Jobs and the Environment take a back seat. There are more than 800,000 employees in the multi-billion-dollar commercial fishing industry in the Great Lakes region of the United States. That industry throughout ALL the five great lakes is probably doomed because another industry's selfish greed and maintained the status quo. While proven ineffective measures are still deemed sufficient, amazingly our politicians, bureaucrats and the Army Corps of Engineers sit back and ignore the progress with their inaction, in spite of the mounting evidence. Oh well, don't stop the carnival. SS
