And of course, since atheists, secularists, and radical Islamists are the same difference:
Hours after declaring Sunday that he expects to be running for president within a month, former House Speaker Newt Gingrich said he's worried the United States could be “a secular atheist country, potentially one dominated by radical Islamists,” in the foreseeable future, according to Politico.

Gingrich was addressing Cornerstone Church, a megachurch in San Antonio, Texas, led by the Rev. John Hagee, an influential leader among American evangelicals. Hagee's endorsement of then-presidential candidate John McCain in 2008 was plagued by controversy.

McCain ultimately rejected the endorsement over remarks Hagee had made about the Holocaust, in which he appeared to say that Adolf Hitler had been fulfilling God's will by hastening the desire of Jews to return to Israel, in accordance with biblical prophecy.

Yeah, because we all know how those radical islamists just loooooove atheism.

Just when you thought that Republicans could not possibly get even more stupid, Newt pulls another one out of his arse.

Some people are afraid that secularists will be too soft on Islamists and let them take over. Supposedly this is already happening in Europe.

Regarding John Hagee, he is a charlatan. Politicians should have nothing to do with him or his church.

I imagine this is his argument. Of course he was pandering considering the audience, but he usually does at least have an argument (albeit often bad).

Newt Gingrich is one of the slimiest political hacks extant. Hagee is another scumbag of the same moulding, and a festering pox upon both of their houses. Even for Republicans, they stink like rotting moose meat.

Therefore, I hope Noot gets the party’s nomination. The Republicans have gone totally teabag and if they continue on course, will eventually land in the crapper. The Manassas Mongoloid could provide the flush.
