Seems that there is a war on Easter. I hadn’t realized that and anyway, I’m still exhausted from fighting in the Christmas trenches.

However, those chocolate bunnies, aided by greedy dentists, are reproducing like bacteria in places such as the wilds of Wal Mart and all the drug stores, and need to be controlled lest they rot every tooth in Christendom. Also, the cretins at FOX“news” need another blathering point.
The annual Fox celebration of the War on Christmas has gone so well that Fox News host Sean Hannity has now decided to complement it with a War on Easter.
His evidence for such a war? Lady Gaga’s deliberately provocative single “Judas” and some remarks by British comedian Ricky Gervais suggesting that many Christians are only looking for a ticket to Heaven.

“It seems that there is a double standard as it relates to Christianity,” Hannity objected. One guest, trial attorney Jennifer Smetters, responded by complaining about the “moral decay of our society,” while the other, legal analyst Mercedes Colwin, suggested more mildly, “This is all about dollars. It has nothing to do with Christianity.”

So ok, once we’ve conquered the evil Easter, what then? A war on Thanksgiving has been suggested but that is open to question as to it’s bona fides as a Christian holiday.

Anyhow, Easter is tomorrow and eggs will soon roll at the White House and across the country. The call has come too late and there is no time to mobilize. But we can spend the next year in preparation for Easter next, subverting and discouraging the enemy at every turn as we wait.

‘Till then, Happy Easter, everybody!

Yeah, I know. Usually I fix that, but forgot this time.

Oh, well done! The enemy will be faked out for months by that clever distraction, and it will probably still be around for Easter next. This will leave them vulnerable to attacks from the rear by amused secularists claiming that a chicken egg is not a sphere. Turtle eggs come close, though.

So ummmm... So easter is about procreation? Forget the sphere stuff, the idea of bunnies and eggs is to celebrate fertility. And that, of course, was what the resurrection was about? This is so addled, they have even managed to find offense in the pagan part of Easter, which has nothing to do with... Well. Okay then.

Uncertainty may make you uncomfortable. Certainty makes you ridiculous.
